Google Business Profile

Let's check we've got you right

Everything below is what we found about your shop. Read it through and flag anything that's wrong.

Before you start

Anything you don't flag, we'll take as correct and publish it to your Google profile. There's nothing to tick or confirm: if a line is right, leave it alone. Use Not right on anything that isn't, and tell us what it should say.

The work you do

Everything on your website, plus the work you told us about when you signed up and a few jobs your customers mention in their reviews. Mark anything you don't actually do, or that needs correcting.

Anything we've missed? Work you do that isn't listed above

What we've deliberately left off

The first one you told us yourself. For the rest, we couldn't tell from your website whether you do them, so we left them off rather than claim something untrue. Mark any you actually do.

Land Rover. You told us it's the one make you don't take onWhat you told us when you signed up

What we'd say about you

These go on your profile as claims about your business, so they have to be exactly right. Flag anything that's wrong or that you'd word differently.

Things we'd add to your profile

You mention these on your website, but your Google profile doesn't. We'd add them unless you say otherwise.

Customers from Santa Rosa, Petaluma and Cotati as well as Rohnert ParkYour Brakes page
Online appointment requests, for people who'd rather book than callYour appointment page

What do you want more of?

Pick up to three. These lead your profile, and everything else sits behind them.

Something else? If what you want most isn't in that list, put it here

Any work you'd rather not get calls about?

Not work you refuse, just the jobs you'd rather not fill the day with. These three are what you told us when you signed up. Tell us if any of them is wrong.

Anything missing from that list? Or anything on it that should come off

A few things only you can tell us

These go on your profile as facts, so we'd rather hear them from you than guess.

Which name should customers see? Your profile says My Mechanic Complete Auto Care, and your website mostly says My Mechanic. We'll use one everywhere.
Should tires sit alongside brakes, or behind them? Your homepage leads with tires. When you signed up you told us brakes come first.
Do you want calls about diagnostic work? Your website gives check engine lights and electrical diagnostics their own pages. Tell us whether to bring that work in or keep it low-key.
Which languages can your team take care of a customer in? Your profile says language assistance is available but doesn't say which.
May we put a tracking number on your Google profile? Calls from your website are already tracked, so we can show you where they came from. Calls from your Google profile aren't, which means the one place we're about to do the most work is the one we can't measure. It rings your shop exactly as it does now, and your real number stays on the listing too.
Can we use the photos you already have? Your profile has 28 photos and 3 of them are yours. We'd rather use your own shop and your own work than shoot anything new. Tell us if any are off limits.
Is anyone else taking care of your Google profile or your social media? We only ask so we don't post over the top of anyone.

Questions your customers ask

These are the questions people actually ask before they book, and the ones Google now answers on your behalf. Answer what you can, skip what you can't.

Your Google reviews*

You're on 4.6 from 150 reviews. How should replies be handled from here?

How should we sound? This shapes your replies and your posts. Pick as many as fit.
Anything we should never say? Words you'd hate to see, or whether we can name a staff member

Your posts*

We publish five a month, so we need plenty to draw on. These are all switched on - everything we'd write about, taken from the work you do. Tap any you'd rather we left alone.

Nothing will be posted to your Google profile. No monthly posts, no seasonal updates, nothing. Your profile will show whatever is on it today and it will not change. Posting is part of what you're paying for, so only turn it off if you're sure.

Anything else

Anything at all you want us to know before we build your profile.

Who filled this in? So we know who to come back to
Would you rather just tell us? Anything you'd sooner say than type into a box. It comes straight to Joseph, and it is the quickest way to get something changed.

We've got your answers. Nothing here is final: change anything you like and send it again, and we'll work from the most recent version.

Nothing flagged yet. If it all looks right, that's fine.

Here's what you're sending us

Once this is in, we build your knowledge base and your customer questions from it, and your audit gets written from your answers rather than our reading of your website.
